What a Good Father Does
The best thing a father can do for his children is love, care for, and honor their mother.
Jesus Revealing Himself in Our Lives
Each of us who have walked with Christ for any time have stories of how and when Jesus has revealed himself to us in a very personal and meaningful way. It is important for us to recall these times and encourage others with them.
Have your staff go around the table and share one of the most meaningful of these and how it impacted them, regardless of how insignificant it might seem to others.
The Blessing of Simplicity
We typically do not see our own lack of money and material resources as a blessing, but they can be in very meaningful ways. The great early Church Father Chrysostom, in his Homilies on Genesis, helps us understand this with this simple observation from his own experience.
“Often you would see the person with ten thousand talents of gold hidden away calling blessed the one behind the shop counter who prepares his own meals by hand.”
Those with great riches are generally owned by it. Those with just enough have no such slavery.
